Our Story

Three women in amnou sets, creamy, lilac and butter yellow, standing before draped fabric

amnou started with a wardrobe that didn’t exist yet, and a strong feeling that it should. A woman should be able to be fully dressed and fully herself at the same time.

I · The search

A wardrobe in pieces.

It started with a search. A dress from one shop, a layer from another, and a third brand just to make them work together. She loved so many pieces, but never quite all the way.

She kept looking for something that already felt finished.

II · The idea

Why not both?

Modest pieces were out there, and so was beautiful design. What she couldn’t find was both in the same piece, made with the same care.

For years, it stayed an idea.

III · The house

The idea, made.

Then came years of learning, researching and building, until the idea was ready to stand on its own.

Mandarin collars, qipao lines and closures finished by hand. Every piece is made to be complete on its own, so you never have to borrow from somewhere else to make it work.

Modesty, here, is not restraint.

It’s a choice, and it belongs to every woman who makes it, whether she wears a hijab or not.

Fully dressed. Fully seen.
